Klipsch RP-8000F MKII Reference Premiere Floor Standing Speaker

Overview

The biggest rooms and the most demanding home theatres need a tower that can move real air without losing composure, and that's where mid-size floorstanding speakers start to run out of headroom. The Klipsch RP-8000F II is the flagship of the Reference Premiere line, built for exactly that scale.

The RP-8000F II pairs a 1" titanium Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) tweeter with an enlarged 90° x 90° silicone composite hybrid Tractrix horn for crisp, controlled highs, and dual 8" Cerametallic woofers for genuinely deep bass and a clear midrange. A dual-chamber rear-firing Tractrix port system uses a shaped geometry for the fastest, most efficient air transfer, virtually eliminating port noise even during heavy bass scenes.

The reinforced MDF cabinet with internal bracing keeps resonance low, and dual binding posts support bi-wiring or bi-amping for those who want to push the system further. Cast aluminum feet and a magnetic cloth grille finish the design in ebony or walnut vinyl.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

For Central Ontario clients who want a cinematic front stage without a rack of amplifiers, the RP-8000F II's 98dB sensitivity is the number that matters most — it's efficient enough to fill a large open-concept living room or a dedicated basement theatre even when driven by a standard AV receiver. It also includes hidden rear terminals built specifically to accept the RP-500SA II elevation speaker for clean, wire-free Atmos height channels.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

  • The Home Theatre Enthusiast: wants a front stage with genuine scale and authority for a Reference Premiere surround system.
  • The High-Volume Listener: wants a speaker that stays clear and effortless at reference volumes.
  • The Efficiency Seeker: has a modest amplifier or integrated receiver and wants a speaker that sounds powerful without needing 300 watts.

How It Compares

The RP-8000F II is the flagship tower in Klipsch's Reference Premiere floorstanding lineup, stepping up from the RP-6000F II's dual 6.5" woofers to dual 8" woofers for the largest rooms and the highest output. For a mid-size room, the RP-6000F II or RP-5000F II cover most needs; for a dedicated cinema or the biggest open-concept space, the RP-8000F II is Klipsch's top Reference Premiere tower.
