JBL PartyBox Ultimate - Bluetooth Party Speaker
Overview
The JBL PartyBox Ultimate is an AC-powered party speaker built to fill a big backyard, hall or event space with 1100 W of Original JBL Pro Sound. It pairs that output with Wi-Fi streaming, Dolby Atmos playback, a multi-dimensional lightshow and inputs for two mics and a guitar. It's for hosts who want one speaker to carry the whole event, from dance floor to karaoke.
Two 9-inch subwoofers, two 4.5-inch mid-range drivers and two 2.75-inch tweeters handle everything from deep bass to clear vocals. Streaming over Wi-Fi unlocks Dolby Atmos for 3D spatial playback (a subscription to a high-definition music service that supports it is required), and Bluetooth 5.3 is there when a guest wants to play something from their phone. The JBL PartyPad on the top panel lets you tap, hold and slide to trigger and remix DJ-style sound effects, while starry lights, light trails, strobes and lights that project onto the surface below all sync to the music.
The speaker tunes itself to its surroundings every time you turn it on, indoors or out, and the JBL One app handles music, EQ and lightshow colours and patterns. Wide, sturdy wheels, an easy-grip handle and built-in cable management help you get it into position. It's IPX4 splash-proof for poolside parties, and you can stereo pair two units or connect multiple PartyBoxes wirelessly for larger events.

The PartyBox Ultimate runs on AC power only, with no internal battery, so plan its spot around an outlet: a finished basement, covered patio, garage or hall. At 39.5 kg, it's meant to be rolled on its wheels rather than carried. If Dolby Atmos is part of the appeal, check that your streaming service offers Dolby Atmos music on your plan before you count on it, since Dolby Atmos playback runs over Wi-Fi. For karaoke, the karaoke EQ tuning and the two mic inputs mean a duet needs nothing beyond the microphones.
