Overview
The FiiO FH3 is a hybrid in-ear monitor that pairs one 10mm beryllium-plated dynamic driver with two Knowles balanced armatures. It's a step up from single-driver earphones for anyone who wants punchy bass and clearer vocals and detail, without moving into flagship IEM territory.
Each driver has its own job. The beryllium-plated dynamic driver handles the bass, and its light, rigid diaphragm keeps low notes quick and controlled. A Knowles ED30262 covers the mids for fuller vocals, and a Knowles RAD33518 handles the treble. FiiO's patented S.TURBO sound tube filters unwanted high frequencies out of the dynamic driver for deeper bass, and a physical-plus-electronic three-way crossover keeps the three drivers from stepping on each other. Balanced pressure relief keeps air pressure even between the front and rear chambers for stress-free listening.
The shell is 5-axis CNC-machined from aerospace-grade aluminum-magnesium alloy, and each earpiece weighs 7.3g. It's Hi-Res Audio certified and comes with a detachable high-purity monocrystalline silver-plated copper cable (4 strands, 96 wires, gold-plated 3.5mm plug) using standard MMCX connectors, plus 11 pairs of ear tips in four sizes and types and a carrying case.

The FH3 is a good first hybrid IEM: the three drivers give clear separation between bass, vocals, and cymbals that a single driver often blurs. At 24 ohms and 114dB sensitivity, it plays well straight from a phone dongle or portable player. Spend a few minutes with the 11 tip pairs, since a good seal is what lets the bass and the balanced armatures balance properly. Because it uses standard MMCX, you can swap cables later, or add FiiO's Bluetooth ear hooks to go wireless.
