Overview
A stand-mount speaker is often the right answer when the room is not big enough for a tower, and the 805 D4 is built so that choice does not come with a big compromise in bass or scale.
The Bowers & Wilkins 805 D4 is a 2-way vented-box stand-mount loudspeaker and the most compact model in the 800 Series Diamond range. It pairs a 25mm Diamond dome tweeter in a Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top housing with a 165mm Continuum cone bass/midrange driver, in a Reverse-Wrap cabinet with stiff aluminium bass pods.
Frequency response is 42Hz to 28kHz (±3dB) with 88dB sensitivity and an 8Ω nominal impedance (4.6Ω minimum). Bowers & Wilkins recommends 50W to 120W into 8Ω on unclipped programme.
