AudioQuest Golden Gate Turntable RCA Cable + Ground Wire for Vinyl Systems

Overview

The signal from a turntable cartridge is tiny, so the cable between your turntable and phono stage deserves careful attention. The AudioQuest Golden Gate Turntable Cable is a turntable RCA interconnect with ground wire (2 x Male RCA to 2 x Male RCA, plus ground wire) for connecting a turntable to a phono preamp, integrated amplifier, or receiver with a phono input.

It uses solid Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) conductors to minimize distortion, foamed-polyethylene insulation to preserve dynamic contrasts, and Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation that absorbs and reflects most RF noise before it reaches the ground layer.

All internal conductors are direction-controlled to reduce RF noise, cold-welded, gold-plated terminations make the connection without solder, and a ground wire is included for turntables that need one.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

If your turntable has a ground terminal, connect the included ground wire between it and the ground post on your phono stage or amplifier. Route the cable away from power cords where you can.

Why the AudioQuest Golden Gate Turntable Cable Stands Out

Solid PSC Conductors

Solid Perfect-Surface Copper minimizes distortion.

Ground Wire Included

For turntables that need a separate ground connection to the phono stage.

Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation

Absorbs and reflects most RF noise before it reaches the layer attached to ground.

Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation

Its high air content minimizes energy absorption to preserve dynamic contrasts.

Direction-Controlled Conductors

Conductors are oriented so induced noise is dissipated and drained properly.

Cold-Welded Gold-Plated Terminations

A solder-free connection made with a high-pressure process.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

  • The Vinyl Listener: Wants a better cable between a turntable and phono preamp.
  • The Turntable Owner: Has a turntable with RCA outputs that needs a ground wire.
  • The System Builder: Uses Golden Gate interconnects elsewhere in the system.

How It Compares

It shares its solid PSC conductors, foamed-polyethylene insulation, and Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation with the AudioQuest Golden Gate RCA interconnect, adding a ground wire for turntable use.

AudioQuest Golden Gate Turntable RCA Cable + Ground Wire for Vinyl Systems FAQs

What is the AudioQuest Golden Gate Turntable Cable used for?

It is a turntable RCA interconnect with ground wire (2 x Male RCA to 2 x Male RCA, plus ground wire) for connecting a turntable to a phono preamp, integrated amplifier, or receiver with a phono input.

What conductors does it use?

Solid Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) conductors, which minimize distortion.

How does it handle noise?

Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation absorbs and reflects most RF noise before it reaches the layer attached to ground, rather than draining it into the component's ground reference.

Are the connectors soldered?

No. AudioQuest uses cold-welded terminations, which create a solder-free connection.
