The Anthem AVM 70 8K is a dedicated audio-video processor built to sit at the center of a home theater without an amplifier inside it. That separation matters: by handling only signal processing and pre-amplification, the AVM 70 keeps the electrical noise of a built-in amp out of the equation, so the connected power amplifiers can do the heavy lifting while the AVM 70 focuses on precision.
ARC Genesis, Anthem's own room correction system, uses a calibration microphone to measure how sound actually behaves in your room and adjusts the signal to correct it.
