The RX-A6A is a 9.2-channel AV receiver rated at 150W per channel (8 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, two channels driven), built around a dual ESS Hyperstream DAC pairing (ES9026PRO and ES9007S) for high-resolution playback. Surround:AI adjusts Cinema DSP HD3 processing scene by scene, and the receiver decodes Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D, plus Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization for rooms without height speakers.

Video runs through 7 HDMI inputs and 3 outputs at up to 4K120 and 8K60, with HDR10+, Dolby Vision, ALLM, and VRR. YPAO Multipoint calibration adds 3D measurement, 64-bit high-precision EQ, and angle measurement, and 11.2-channel preouts support Zone 2 and Zone 3 audio plus HDMI zone video output. Balanced XLR terminals, a phono input, and MusicCast round out the connections.
