Klipsch RP-504C II Center Channel Speaker

Overview

Dialogue makes up most of a movie's soundtrack, and a centre channel that can't keep up with a large room or a loud scene is the fastest way to lose it in the mix. The Klipsch RP-504C II is built as the flagship solution for exactly that problem.

The RP-504C II pairs a 1" titanium Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) tweeter with a larger 90° x 90° silicone composite hybrid Tractrix horn for crisp, controlled highs, and four 5.25" Cerametallic woofers for a rich, authoritative midrange with real output. The extra driver surface area gives this centre channel more headroom than smaller models in the lineup, without straining at higher volumes.

A rear-firing Tractrix port and internally braced MDF cabinet deliver fast, clean bass without port noise, and the input panel uses audiophile-grade wiring with aluminum binding posts. Cork pads replace rubber bumpers for secure, vibration-damped placement on a media console.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

For Central Ontario clients building a dedicated theatre or a large open-concept room, the RP-504C II's four-woofer array is what lets it keep pace with big floorstanding towers like the RP-8000F II — a smaller centre channel can get overwhelmed by a powerful front stage, but this one is scaled to match it.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

  • The Serious Home Cinema Builder: wants the highest-output centre channel in Klipsch's Reference Premiere lineup.
  • The Large Tower Owner: has RP-8000F II or RP-6000F II towers that need a centre channel able to keep pace.
  • The Large-Room Listener: needs dialogue that stays clear even at higher volumes in a big space.

How It Compares

The RP-504C II is the flagship of Klipsch's Reference Premiere centre channel lineup, stepping up to four woofers from the RP-500C II's two for more output and headroom in larger rooms. For a smaller media console or a more modest system, the RP-500C II is the better fit; for a shallow, sealed-cabinet option, the RP-404C II is the space-saving alternative.
