Overview
Bass-heavy movies and full-range music both demand real power handling, and a subwoofer that can't keep up is the fastest way to lose impact from a home theatre or stereo system. The Klipsch RP-1000SW is built to provide it.
The RP-1000SW is a 10" powered subwoofer built around a Cerametallic woofer, engineered for high power handling and low distortion at high excursion. A high-efficiency Class D amplifier with an analog preamp design delivers 300W RMS (600W peak) while preserving a clean, true-to-source signal path.
A front-firing driver with an Aerofoil slot port minimizes turbulence for tight, controlled bass, and lets you place the subwoofer virtually anywhere in the room. The cabinet is finished in scratch-resistant ebony vinyl with rounded corners, shock-absorbing rubber feet, and a durable woven cloth grille, and the RP-1000SW is wireless-ready with the Klipsch WA-2 kit (sold separately).

How It Compares
The RP-1000SW is the smallest of Klipsch's Reference Premiere subwoofers, sitting below the RP-1200SW, RP-1400SW, and RP-1600SW. All four share the same Cerametallic woofer design and Class D amplifier architecture, but each step up adds driver size and power for larger rooms. For a typical living room or secondary theatre, the RP-1000SW is plenty; for a dedicated theatre or larger space, the RP-1200SW or larger is worth considering.
