Klipsch Flexus Core 200 Dolby Atmos Sound Bar with Built-In Subwoofers

Overview

A single soundbar rarely gets both dialogue and bass right at the same time — one usually comes at the expense of the other. The Klipsch Flexus Core 200 is built to handle both, with a dedicated center channel for vocals and real low-end weight that doesn't need a separate subwoofer.

The Flexus Core 200 is a 3.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos sound bar built with Onkyo, combining four front-firing 2.25" aluminum drivers with two built-in 2.25" elevation drivers for genuine height effects and dual 4" built-in subwoofers for bass. A dedicated horn-loaded center-channel tweeter keeps dialogue clear even during busy action scenes, addressing the most common complaint with flat-panel TV audio.

The Klipsch Connect Plus app gives you EQ presets, a custom EQ mix, Night Mode, and Dialogue Boost, and Klipsch Transport technology means the Core 200 can grow into a full system later — wireless Flexus Surrounds and a Flexus Subwoofer connect without running new cables. It connects to your TV over HDMI ARC/eARC or digital optical, or streams from a phone over Bluetooth.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

For Central Ontario clients upgrading a family room TV, the Core 200's built-in elevation drivers are worth the step up from the Core 100 if Dolby Atmos content is a priority — the upward-firing channels bounce sound off the ceiling for real overhead effects, rather than relying on the Core 100's fully virtual processing. As with any soundbar, use HDMI eARC over optical whenever your TV supports it, since eARC carries the full Dolby Atmos metadata that optical strips out.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

  • The Atmos Enthusiast: wants real overhead effects from built-in elevation drivers rather than fully virtual processing.
  • The Dialogue-First Viewer: watches a lot of dialogue-heavy content and wants a dedicated center channel to keep it clear.
  • The Future-Proofer: wants a stronger foundation than the Core 100 with the same easy wireless expansion path.

How It Compares

The Core 200 sits in the middle of Klipsch's Flexus Sound System, above the entry Core 100 and below the flagship Core 300. Compared to the Core 100's 2.1-channel design and virtual Atmos processing, the Core 200 adds two built-in elevation drivers for genuine height effects and a dedicated center-channel tweeter for dialogue, while the flagship Core 300 goes further with a 5.1.2-channel layout. For anyone who wants real overhead effects and clearer dialogue without stepping all the way up to the Core 300, the Core 200 is the sweet spot.
