Overview
Most portable speakers ask you to choose between something built to survive the outdoors and something that actually sounds good once you get there.
The JBL Charge 6 is a mid-size portable Bluetooth speaker built around a 2-way driver system, with JBL Original Pro Sound and AI Sound Boost processing that reads the music in real time to add power without adding distortion. Bluetooth 5.4 keeps the connection stable, and a USB-C port doubles as a wired input for lossless audio at a desk or in the office.
Battery life runs up to 24 hours per charge, or up to 28 with Playtime Boost, and a fast-charge feature adds up to 150 minutes of playtime from just 10 minutes on the charger. An IP68 rating and a 1-metre drop rating onto concrete mean it's built to handle real outdoor use, not just light rain.

Compared to the JBL Flip 7 in the current lineup, the Charge 6 is the larger, higher-output option — it adds a 45W 2-way driver system and a built-in USB-C power bank that the smaller, more pocketable Flip 7 (roughly 18.3 x 7.0 x 7.2 cm) isn't built around. Choose the Flip 7 for something easier to toss in a bag, and the Charge 6 for more output and longer runtime in one unit.
