Overview
A compact speaker works best when it has room to breathe, and the DALI OPTICON 2 MK2 is a mid-sized stand-mount designed for compact to medium-sized listening spaces.
The DALI OPTICON 2 MK2 is a true 2-way stand-mount loudspeaker. A 6½-inch paper pulp and wood fibre woofer with DALI's patented SMC magnet system pairs with a lightweight 29mm soft dome tweeter. DALI fully assembles it at its production facilities in Denmark.
Frequency range is 59Hz to 25kHz (±3dB), sensitivity is 86.5dB, and maximum SPL is 107dB at 1m. DALI says each stereo pair is built and tested by one technician using components from the same batch.

6½-Inch Wood Fibre Woofer
A paper pulp and wood fibre cone is designed for low loss, low distortion and low colouration, with minimal break-up resonance.
Patented SMC Magnet System
DALI's Soft Magnetic Composite pole-piece greatly reduces hysteresis and eddy-current distortion, including third-order distortion.
Oversized 29mm Soft Dome Tweeter
Derived from DALI's CALLISTO C series, it offers lower distortion, higher power handling and extended low-frequency response compared with the 28mm tweeter in the OPTICON MK1 series.
Dual-Flare Reflex Port
The port shape minimises turbulence at the entry and exit flares and reinforces low-frequency performance.
Rigid Cabinet
A 25mm thick front baffle and extra internal bracing make the cabinet extremely rigid and practically eliminate panel resonance.
Matched Pairs Built by Hand
DALI stereo pairs are built and tested by one technician using components from the same batch for visual and acoustic matching.
