Overview
The Bowers & Wilkins HTM6 S3 is the dedicated centre channel speaker in the 600 Series, built to partner with the 603 S3 towers and the rest of the 600 S3 lineup in a home theatre system. It pairs the all-new Titanium Dome tweeter with dual 5-inch Continuum cone bass/midrange drivers in a compact, horizontal 2-way vented-box cabinet sized to fit under most TVs or inside media furniture.
Dialogue carries most of a movie's soundtrack, so the centre channel matters as much as the left and right speakers, if not more. The HTM6 S3 places its tweeter between two symmetrical Continuum drivers, which helps keep dialogue sounding consistent whether you're sitting dead centre or off to the side. The tweeter uses the same acoustically transparent grille mesh first developed for B&W's Signature models, and the rear terminals use the improved layout introduced on the 700 Series for a cleaner signal path and full bi-wire or bi-amp capability.
A rear Flowport reflex vent handles bass loading, and the cabinet ships in Black, White, or Oak finishes to match a 600 S3 speaker system.
