Not every room has space for a floorstander, and a compact speaker does not have to mean settling for less in the drive units.
The Bowers & Wilkins 805 D4 Signature is a compact 2-way vented-box stand-mount loudspeaker built around a 25mm Diamond Dome tweeter in a Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top housing and a 165mm Continuum cone bass/midrange. The tweeter housing has an elongated form, a longer tube-loading system and an all-new grille, and the crossover is mounted at the rear on stiff aluminium spines.
Frequency response is 42Hz to 28kHz (±3dB), sensitivity is 88dB, and nominal impedance is 8Ω with a 4.6Ω minimum. Bowers & Wilkins recommends 50W to 120W into 8Ω, so it works with a broad range of amplifiers.
