Audioquest Tower Mini to RCA 5M

Overview

The right cable makes it easy to get music from one component to another without adding noise along the way. The AudioQuest Tower 3.5mm to RCA is an analog audio interconnect (3.5mm Mini Male to 2 x Male RCA) for connecting a phone, laptop, tablet, or other 3.5mm headphone or line output to RCA inputs on an amplifier, receiver, or powered speakers.

It uses Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors to minimize distortion, with solid conductors that prevent strand interaction. Foamed-polyethylene insulation, with its high air content, absorbs less energy for clearer sound, and AudioQuest's Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation absorbs and reflects most RF noise before it reaches the ground layer.

The Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry gives a relatively lower impedance on the ground for a richer, more dynamic sound, all internal conductors are direction-controlled to reduce RF noise, and cold-welded, gold-plated terminations make the connection without solder.

Choose the shortest length that comfortably reaches between your components, leaving a little slack so the plugs are not under tension. Available here in 5m.

More Info

Why the AudioQuest Tower 3.5mm to RCA Stands Out

Solid Long-Grain Copper Conductors

Solid conductors that minimize distortion and prevent strand interaction.

Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation

Absorbs and reflects most RF noise before it reaches the layer attached to ground.

Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation

Its high air content minimizes energy absorption to preserve dynamic contrasts.

Direction-Controlled Conductors

All internal conductors are direction-controlled to reduce RF noise.

Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry

A relatively lower impedance on the ground for a richer, more dynamic sound.

Cold-Welded Gold-Plated Terminations

A solder-free connection between conductor and plug.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

  • The Phone and Laptop Listener: Wants to play music from a 3.5mm output through a stereo system or powered speakers.
  • The System Builder: Wants a well-made 3.5mm to RCA interconnect that matches AudioQuest cables elsewhere in the system.
  • The Detail-Minded Listener: Wants to reduce noise and distortion in the analog signal path.

How It Compares

The AudioQuest Evergreen shares the same solid LGC conductors, foamed-polyethylene insulation, and Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation, while the AudioQuest Golden Gate steps up to solid Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) conductors.

Audioquest Tower Mini to RCA 5M FAQs

What is the AudioQuest Tower 3.5mm to RCA cable used for?

It is an analog audio interconnect (3.5mm Mini Male to 2 x Male RCA) for connecting a phone, laptop, tablet, or other 3.5mm headphone or line output to RCA inputs on an amplifier, receiver, or powered speakers.

What conductors does it use?

Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors. AudioQuest uses solid conductors to prevent strand interaction, a major source of distortion.

How does it handle noise?

Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation absorbs and reflects most RF noise before it reaches the layer attached to ground, and all internal conductors are direction-controlled to reduce RF noise.

Are the connectors soldered?

No. AudioQuest uses cold-welded, gold-plated terminations, which create a solder-free connection.
