AudioQuest Sydney RCA-to-RCA Interconnect Cable with Solid LGC Conductors

Overview

In a revealing system, the interconnect between source and amplifier is one of the places where small differences become audible. The AudioQuest Sydney RCA to RCA is an analog audio interconnect (2 x Male RCA to 2 x Male RCA) for connecting a CD player, streamer, DAC, phono preamp, or other source to an amplifier or receiver.

It uses solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors to minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries, with Polyethylene Air-Tube insulation that minimizes contact with the conductors. AudioQuest's Carbon-Based 3-Layer Noise-Dissipation absorbs and reflects RF noise before it can modulate the equipment's ground reference.

Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry separates the ground and shield, and cold-welded, direct-silver-plated pure purple copper terminations avoid both solder and a distortion-causing nickel underlayer.

Why the AudioQuest Sydney RCA to RCA Stands Out

Solid PSC+ Conductors

Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries and prevents strand interaction.

Polyethylene Air-Tube Insulation

Minimizes contact with the conductors for less sonic smearing.

Carbon-Based 3-Layer Noise-Dissipation

Absorbs and reflects RF noise before it reaches the ground reference.

Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry

Separates ground and shield for a relatively lower impedance on the ground and a cleaner, quieter sound.

Direct-Silver-Plated Terminations

Cold-welded pure purple copper plugs with silver plating and no nickel underlayer.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

  • The Critical Listener: Wants a high-performance RCA interconnect for a revealing system.
  • The Turntable and DAC User: Connects phono preamps, DACs, and streamers to an amplifier.
  • The System Builder: Wants consistent AudioQuest cabling through a stereo system.

How It Compares

The AudioQuest Big Sur also uses solid PSC+ conductors, with foamed-polyethylene insulation, Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation, and gold-plated terminations. Sydney moves to Polyethylene Air-Tube insulation, carbon-based 3-layer Noise-Dissipation, and direct-silver-plated terminations.

AudioQuest Sydney RCA-to-RCA Interconnect Cable with Solid LGC Conductors FAQs

What is the AudioQuest Sydney RCA to RCA used for?

It is an analog audio interconnect (2 x Male RCA to 2 x Male RCA) for connecting a CD player, streamer, DAC, phono preamp, or other source to an amplifier or receiver.

What conductors does it use?

Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors, which prevent strand interaction and minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries.

How does it handle noise?

Carbon-Based 3-Layer Noise-Dissipation absorbs and reflects RF noise before it can modulate the equipment's ground reference.

Are the connectors soldered?

No. AudioQuest uses cold-welded terminations, which create a solder-free connection.
