Overview

Static and microscopic dust are behind many of the pops and crackles you hear on vinyl. The AudioQuest Silver Anti-Static Record Brush is a carbon-fibre record brush that removes static, dust, and debris from your LPs before you play them.

It uses two rows of conductive carbon fibres, 1,086,000 in total, combined with an uncoated metal finger grip positioned to make a proper electrical connection to your hand. Holding the brush makes you the ground, so static drains away as the fibres sweep dust out of the grooves.

A discreet lip on the underside of the handle cleans the fibres: simply rotate the brush within its handle after use so old dirt never goes back onto the record. No fluids, cloths, or other brushes are needed, and it is a direct descendant of AudioQuest's original 1982 Carbon Fiber Record Brush.

Make it part of every play: with the record spinning on the platter, rest the brush gently on the surface with your fingers on the metal grip so static has somewhere to go. Rotate it in the handle afterward so the fibres are clean for next time.
