Overview
Most AudioQuest DragonFly DACs plug into a USB-A port, but many phones, tablets, and newer laptops only have USB-C. The AudioQuest DragonTail USB-A to USB-C is a small adaptor with a female USB-A socket on one end and a male USB-C plug on the other, so a DragonFly connects straight to a USB-C device.
AudioQuest designed it to connect a USB-C smartphone or computer to a DragonFly DAC. It is the same form-fitting DragonTail adaptor AudioQuest includes with the DragonFly Copper, sold on its own for owners of other DragonFly models or anyone who needs a spare.
For Android phones and tablets, AudioQuest notes that USB audio works when the manufacturer has followed the USB specification and supports audio over USB, and suggests running the USB Host Check app to confirm your device is compatible.
