Firstly, just remember this is a CD Transport ONLY! You have to pair it to a standalone DAC or a digital amplifier. Once that is done, you will be rewarded with a rich sound that will reveal every sound on the recording that normal CD players fail to identify. (Don't go by short video for sound quality though as a recording onto a Samsung phone does it no favours at all). The transport is easy to set up and has a very friendly user interface and menu structure but to be honest, when paired with my particular amp, I didn't need to adjust any settings at all. The transport is heavy, due to its substantial power supply and is solidly built, with a neutral aesthetic design, in either black or silver finishes, it will fit straight in with most other audio equipment. It looks good, sounds good, and is worth every penny. If you want to hear your CD's as the artists intended them to be heard, then buy the Audiolab 7000CDT .... you won't be disappointed.Highly recommended.
