Overview

The Audeze CRBN2 is an open-back electrostatic headphone built around a second-generation carbon nanotube driver film, developed and manufactured in-house by Audeze. Unlike Audeze's planar magnetic models, the CRBN2 uses a push-pull electrostatic driver that requires a dedicated amplifier with 580V Stax Pro Bias output, it will not work with a standard headphone amp.

SLAM technology manages pressure across the diaphragm to deliver a powerful, physical bass response that's uncommon in electrostatic designs, without giving up the speed and detail retrieval electrostatic headphones are known for. A 120mm x 90mm driver delivers a 10Hz-40kHz frequency response with less than 0.1% THD at 90dB.

The attached 2.5m OCC monocrystal copper cable terminates in a 5-pin Pro Bias connector, and the headphone itself is built from magnesium, stainless steel, carbon fiber, and premium leather. Each unit ships with an aluminum travel case and a certificate of authenticity.
