The SUB8 is a sealed powered subwoofer built around an 8-inch paper cone woofer and a Class D amplifier rated at 150 watts RMS (300 watts peak). Its sealed acoustic-suspension cabinet keeps the woofer's motion tightly controlled, so bass notes start and stop cleanly instead of trailing into the boomy decay that ported designs are prone to at higher volumes.
An adjustable low-pass filter and phase control let the SUB8 blend in with whatever main speakers it's paired with, and rigid MDF construction, solid rubber feet, and a metal grille keep the cabinet quiet and the driver protected. At roughly 11 inches in each direction, it fits under a desk or in a small media console without dominating the room.

The SUB8 is the larger of Kanto's two subwoofers.
