It works as a left, centre or right channel speaker, which is where the LCR name comes from. A 6½-inch wood fibre woofer pairs with a hybrid tweeter that combines a 29mm soft dome with a 17 x 45mm planar element. DALI hand-assembles and tests it in Denmark.

Frequency range is 70Hz to 30kHz (±3dB), sensitivity is 89dB, and maximum SPL is 109dB at 1m. It is sold individually.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

Because one model covers the left, centre and right positions, an OPTICON LCR MK2 front stage can match across all three channels. DALI recommends 30W to 150W of amplifier power, and we are glad to talk through wall placement and system layout before you decide.

More Info

Why the DALI OPTICON LCR MK2 Stands Out

Left, Centre or Right Duty

One low-profile, wall-mounted model serves as the left, centre or right channel in stereo and multichannel systems.

Hybrid Tweeter Module

A 29mm soft dome and a custom 17 x 45mm planar element share a cast aluminium faceplate with dispersion control detailing for off-axis listening.

Wood Fibre Woofer

The 6½-inch paper pulp and wood fibre cone follows DALI's low loss, low distortion and low colouration principles for a detailed midrange and coherent bass.

Patented SMC Magnet System

DALI's Soft Magnetic Composite pole piece greatly reduces hysteresis and eddy-current distortion, including third-order distortion.

Rigid Cabinet

A 25mm thick front baffle and extra internal bracing make the cabinet extremely rigid and practically eliminate panel resonance.

Handcrafted in Denmark

DALI hand-assembles, tests and quality-checks everything from cutting the laminate to surface finishing at its Danish production facilities.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

The Wall-Mount Listener: wants hi-fi stereo or surround sound where there is wall space but no room for stands.

The Matched-Front-Stage Builder: wants one model for the left, centre and right channels.

The OPTICON MK2 System Builder: wants a low-profile speaker that shares its tweeter technology with the rest of the OPTICON MK2 series.

How It Compares

Within the OPTICON MK2 range, the OPTICON LCR MK2 is the wall-mounted model that can serve the left, centre or right channel.
