We needed it to play old vinyls

I had been holding onto an old Hitachi receiver for years and can't believe I took so long to buy this Sony. Bluetooth has a decent range. Records and CDs sound clearer. This thing has given new life to my 70s Baycrest speakers.
I got a turntable and needed a receiver with a phono input and also needed Bluetooth capabilities for connecting to my PC or phone.It works. It looks sleek and to be honest I don't know who the hero in my set up is... This receiver or the Sony bookshelf speakers I got with it.Just a heads up if you're connecting a PC to this via Bluetooth it's only good for music. Movies and videogames have a slight delay as that's the nature of Bluetooth. If you're going to connect a PC buy a RCA to 3.5mm cord.Also it comes with a remote control that is perfect. As someone who grew up in the 80s and 90s it makes me nostalgic.
I needed to replace my 40 year old Sony receiver, which I liked in its day. Very pleased with this new receiver, which produces strong, clean, and detailed sound with my old Avid 102 speakers. Two channels is fine for me, but I wish it had a dial for balancing left and right (can be done with the remote). A perfect match with my old Marantz 6100 turn table as well. I have ordered a longer antenna as the one it came with is not enough.
