What improvements can I expect after installing the Pro-Ject Acryl-It platter on my turntable?

Acrylic is an acoustically inert material, so it leaves less room for the resonance a metal platter can add to your turntable's sound. Because your record sits directly on the acrylic surface with no felt mat needed, it also eliminates the static buildup that felt mats are prone to.

Is the Pro-Ject Acryl-It platter compatible with all Pro-Ject turntable models?

The Pro-Ject Acryl-It platter is designed as a direct replacement for the stock metal platter on the Debut, E1, T1, and 1Xpression turntables. It's essential to verify your specific model before purchasing, since Pro-Ject makes other platter upgrades tailored to different turntable lines.

Does the Pro-Ject Acryl-It platter require any additional maintenance compared to standard platters?

The Pro-Ject Acryl-It platter is relatively low-maintenance. However, it's recommended to clean it periodically to prevent dust buildup, which can affect sound quality. Using a soft, lint-free cloth and a gentle cleaning solution is advisable.

Will installing the Pro-Ject Acryl-It platter affect the tonearm's alignment?

Some users have observed that installing the Acryl-It platter can slightly raise the tonearm, potentially affecting its alignment. It's advisable to check and, if necessary, adjust the tonearm's alignment after installation to maintain optimal performance.
