a must buy subwoofer for small spaces.

With the Cinema Sub, Paradigm offers a quality component that blends easily with my 5.1 surround system, offering clarity and power in a compact handsome unit that's relatively inexpensive. The vendor was quite responsive to my order and transport was surprisingly fast as I received it 3 days early in excellent condition. Setup and tweaks were a snap and I was up and running in a short while. So nice to have that sub bass heft to my system.

-powerful smaller sub-instructions are good-easy to install

It takes up far less space then my old Paradigm PS 1000 but doesn't have depth and power. It is being used in a bedroom so it is adequate. A disappointing note - Paradigm customer service does not answer emails.

I really like this subwoofer and have gotten several compliments about the balanced sound in my cinema room!

Paradigm Cinema Series 8" 300 watts crête, 100 watts RMS Powered Subwoofer FAQs

How should I position the Paradigm Cinema Series 8" Powered Subwoofer for optimal performance?

For optimal performance, place the subwoofer near the front speakers, either along the front wall or in a front corner of the room. Experimenting with placement can help achieve the best bass response. The subwoofer features flexible positioning options, allowing it to be oriented with either the gloss side or cloth side facing up, depending on your preference and room acoustics.

What controls are available on the Paradigm Cinema Series 8" Powered Subwoofer?

The subwoofer includes several controls to fine-tune its performance:

Subwoofer Cut-Off Frequency Control: Adjusts the upper frequency limit to blend seamlessly with your main speakers.
Subwoofer Level Control: Balances the subwoofer's output with the rest of your system.
Phase Switch: Allows you to select between 0° and 180° to ensure the subwoofer is in phase with your main speakers, which can enhance bass response. These controls help customize the subwoofer's integration into your audio system.

How do I properly set the phase on the Paradigm Cinema Series 8" Powered Subwoofer?

To set the phase, start by playing familiar music with substantial bass content. Switch the phase control between 0° and 180°, and listen for the position that provides the fullest and most natural bass response at your primary listening position. If the bass sounds weak or dislocated, adjusting the phase can help align the subwoofer's output with your main speakers, resulting in improved bass performance.

What type of input connections does the Paradigm Cinema Series 8" Powered Subwoofer have?

The subwoofer is equipped with two RCA line-level inputs (left and right), which can be used for connecting to the subwoofer or LFE (Low-Frequency Effects) output of your receiver or processor. This allows for versatile integration with various audio systems.
