Overview
The JBL PartyBox Wireless Microphone 2 Pack is a pair of digital wireless microphones made to pair with JBL PartyBox speakers, from the PartyBox Encore up to the PartyBox Ultimate. It gives you two cordless mics for karaoke, duets, toasts or a live vocal, tuned to sound clear over a PartyBox. It's for PartyBox owners who want singers free to move around rather than tied to the speaker by a cable.
Each mic uses a cardioid pickup pattern for warm, clear vocals, a shock mount system that keeps handling noise down when the mic is passed from one person to the next, and a built-in foam pop filter that cuts out breathy sounds. The included digital wireless dongle gives a stable 2.4 GHz connection with AES-128 encryption, low latency under 12 ms and a working range of up to 30 m (100 ft), so performers can get out and work the crowd.
Each mic runs up to 20 hours on its rechargeable battery, and the dongle runs up to 12 hours. When a mic gets low, plug it into the PartyBox's charging port and keep singing while it charges; 10 minutes of charging adds about two more hours. A USB-C cable is included, and setup is as simple as plugging in and starting to sing.

Battery life depends on which part you're watching: the mics run up to 20 hours, but the dongle tops out around 12, so for an all-day event top up the dongle as well as the mics. Since the mics can charge from a PartyBox's charging port while still in use, a quick 10-minute top-up between songs buys about two hours. The 30 m range is plenty for a backyard or hall, which makes these a good pick for speeches and toasts where the speaker needs to stay put while the person talking moves around.
