Casque qui remplit tout ce que peux désirer un audiophile. Un câble symétrique relié à un bon ampli casque améliore grandement l'écoute.

Just brilliant. It has ruined headphones for me

I've used alot of headphones that range from $100cad to $3500cad, not saying these are worth $3500, but for their price they are DEFINITELY impossible to find anything better for sound. For me, the comfort is a 3/5 as it does start to bother my ears in a weird way, and also head band has to be adjusted every so often to prevent Hotspots. But, I'm happy with the Sundaras, and so will you.

I didn't know what to expect buying these. I was considering buying the HD600s because I've always been a low end Sennheiser guy... (I upgraded from the HD559s). I have always liked open backs, but I did some research and a lot of knowledgeable people said stay away from the overpriced HD600s... Not only are the HD600s more costly... they require more expensive amp/dacs to power their high impedance. So I figured I'd pick these up instead. I bought the Fiio K5 Pro amp/dac to go with them and wow... I am revisiting music I haven't listened to in years and noticing things I've never heard before. I can't explain the clarity these produce. It's amazing. If you listen to an orchestra play you can hear exactly where each instrument is. It's like you can picture how big the room is as the sound reverberates back to the microphone they recorded on.Vocals sound so warm and crisp. I have always liked above average bass and these don't disappoint. I especially love the K5 pro paired with these because you can adjust the highs and lows easily right next to the volume knob. They are also incredible for gaming. I used to have like a stereo sound with my HD559s where I could only really hear left or right back or front, but the Sundaras introduce this vertical soundstage where I can tell exactly where those annoying campers are in warzone. I was trash at warzone for the longest time, bought these and started winning within days. Don't underestimate how good audio can make experiencing every type of content better. Movies sound great, no pausing and going back to check what they said.I cannot say enough good thing about these. They have twice the size of the drivers in my HD559s plus they are planar magnetic (still not sure what that means but apparently at this price it's pretty rare to have a expensive feature like that). You'd think they'd be super uncomfortable on the head but the leather strap really helps. If you have a bigger head the clamping factor might be an issue but I have a skinny head and small ears so these fit great and I can wear them all day. When tunes are bumping you can still hear your surroundings, the open back is truly open, its like you aren't wearing them at all when nothing is playing.Build quality is night and day. Really glad I finally invested in a decent pair of cans... These are some double D ones too trust me.

I am comparing the sound to an LCDi3 Audeze with included CIPHER Lightning Cable DAC.As you can see from the attached picture, the interfacing is cumbersome, but it works for a portable solution. The Qudelix has enough power to drive the SUNDARA headphones. What I like over the LCDi3 is the fact that the Qudelix provides a fine tunning equalizer capability, and roll-off filter selection. The Sundara does not have the wide imaging signature the LCDi3 have, but the clarity of the Sundaras compensate for it.The bass on the Sundaras is tight, textured (Jazz Music) and fast enough.

Hifiman Sundara Over Ear Casque magnétique planaire pleine grandeur FAQs

Are the HiFiMan Sundara headphones compatible with portable devices like smartphones or do they require a dedicated amplifier?

The HiFiMan Sundara headphones are relatively easy to drive and can be powered directly from portable devices such as smartphones. However, they also benefit from the use of a dedicated amplifier, which can enhance their performance by providing better control and dynamics. According to the Sundara's owner's manual, while they can be powered happily out of a mobile phone, they scale with more power too, offering greater audio performance when used with a moderate desktop amp or a powerful portable digital audio player.

What is the soundstage like on the HiFiMan Sundara compared to other headphones?

The HiFiMan Sundara offers a soundstage that is generally considered above average, providing a spacious and open listening experience. Some users have compared it to models like the Beyerdynamic DT990 and DT1990 Pro, noting that while the Sundara's soundstage is commendable, it may not be as expansive as that of the DT1990 Pro. However, individual perceptions can vary based on personal preferences and listening habits.

How durable are the HiFiMan Sundara headphones for long-term use?

The HiFiMan Sundara headphones feature a robust build quality, utilizing materials like metal for the headband and yokes, which contribute to their durability. Users have reported that the Sundara offers superb comfort with just enough clamping force to stay secure without causing discomfort, an excellent headband mechanism, and a great balance of materials, making it a reasonably lightweight headphone at 372 grams.

Is it normal to hear a crinkling sound when adjusting the HiFiMan Sundara on my head?

Yes, some users have reported hearing a crinkling sound when adjusting planar magnetic headphones like the HiFiMan Sundara. This phenomenon is often due to a pressure difference affecting the planar driver and is generally considered normal. The sound typically occurs when the seal between the ear cup and the head is broken or re-established. If the noise persists during regular use, it's advisable to check for any issues with the ear pads or headphone fit.
