FiiO FA19 10BA In-Ear Monitors
Overview
The FiiO FA19 is FiiO's flagship all-balanced-armature in-ear monitor, with ten Knowles BA drivers in each ear. It's built for listeners who want detailed, coherent, reference-like sound, and a switch on the back of each earpiece lets you choose between a clean Monitor tuning and a fuller HiFi tuning.
Each earpiece uses four custom Knowles bass drivers developed with FiiO, two Knowles ED mid drivers, and four Knowles SWFK treble drivers, split by a physical and electronic three-way crossover with 0.1%-tolerance Rubycon capacitors. A mid-frequency notch filter smooths the mids and reduces sibilance, FiiO's patented S.Turbo design keeps the bass-to-mid transition clean, and a negative feedback bass system in the DLP 3D-printed shell deepens the bass while venting the front cavity for comfort.
Each earpiece weighs about 7g. The included 8-strand, 224-wire pure silver Litz cable uses expanded MMCX connectors and twist-lock swappable 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs. It comes with an HB5 case and a wide range of ear tips, including SpinFit and HS18 sets, and it's Hi-Res Audio certified by JAS and CEA.

The FA19 rewards a little setup time. Start in Monitor mode for the most neutral, detailed sound, then flip to HiFi mode when you want more bass weight and fuller mids. With ten BA drivers per side, ear tip fit makes a real difference, so work through the included tip sets until you get a solid seal. At 10 ohms and 106dB/mW it's easy to drive, so a quiet source matters more than raw power.
