FiiO Darkside Pro Regulated Linear Power Supply
Overview
The FiiO Darkside Pro is a regulated linear power supply that replaces the stock switching adapter on a 12V or 15V desktop DAC or headphone amp with cleaner, quieter power. It's part of FiiO's power purification series, built to lower the noise floor so music plays against a darker, quieter background.
An audiophile-grade 75W toroidal transformer with a grain-oriented silicon steel core feeds a fully discrete regulator built around two IRFZ34NPBF MOSFETs in parallel and an LT431 voltage reference. Ripple is rated at 30uVrms or less, and ELNA, Rubycon, and WIMA capacitors are used throughout. A relay switches the transformer between 12V and 15V operation to match the selected output, which keeps efficiency up and heat down.
It delivers up to 3A through a GX16-2 aviation connector, with a slide switch for 12V or 15V and a 3-LED display showing the output voltage. A precision potentiometer allows fine adjustment of plus or minus 0.2V, and a self-resetting fuse protects against overcurrent. The heavy unibody aluminum chassis blocks interference and matches the look of FiiO's K13 series, so it stacks neatly with FiiO desktop gear.

Before you connect anything, check that your DAC or amp runs on 12V or 15V DC and that the selector switch matches it. FiiO is clear that the voltage must match the connected device. FiiO lists 220-240V and 100-120V input, and asks you to confirm the input voltage label on the unit matches your local mains (120V here in Canada) before plugging it in. It makes the most sense paired with FiiO desktop gear like the K13 series, which it's styled to match.
