FiiO Anywhere Portable Bluetooth Speaker
Overview
The FiiO Anywhere is a compact portable Bluetooth speaker made to come along wherever you go, from hikes and bike rides to the kitchen, the office, or a campsite. At about 190g, it clips to a bag with its braided rope and carabiner and has a magnetic base.
Inside, a 45mm full-range driver with a fibre diaphragm is designed for low distortion and clear, full sound. It connects over Bluetooth 5.4, and Auracast lets you pair two Anywhere speakers for wireless stereo, which FiiO suggests for an outdoor movie night with a projector.
A 1400mAh battery runs about 21 hours at normal volume and recharges in about two hours over USB-C. IPX6 water resistance means rain and damp conditions aren't a problem, and 8GB of built-in storage plus a microSD slot for cards up to 256GB let it play music on its own, without a phone.
Simcoe Audio Video Insight
The Anywhere is an easy speaker to live with: small enough to take everywhere and tough enough for rain on a bike ride or a day at the cottage. It streams over SBC, which every phone supports, so pairing is simple. If you'd like stereo, pick up a second unit and press the power button three times on each to start Auracast pairing. Loading a microSD card with your favourite albums is a handy way to play music without draining your phone.
