Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen 2 Music Streamer and DAC
Overview
The Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen 2 is a hi-fi music streamer and DAC that brings streaming services, your own music library, and your TV's audio together in one compact aluminium unit. Connect it to an amplifier, receiver, or active speakers through its balanced XLR or RCA outputs, or use it as a digital source for an external DAC.
Two ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chips handle the left and right channels independently in a fully balanced design, and a third-generation XMOS XU316 USB interface supports DSD512 native and PCM 768kHz/32-bit. Eversolo's revised linear power supply runs at a noise level below 40µV, and Eversolo rates the XLR outputs at more than 128dB dynamic range with THD+N below 0.00009% (-120dB).
A 6-inch touchscreen and the Eversolo Control app make it easy to browse built-in services like TIDAL, Qobuz, and Amazon Music, while Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, and TIDAL Connect support lets you stream from the apps you already use. Add an M.2 NVMe SSD for local storage, play and rip CDs with an external USB drive, and connect your TV over HDMI ARC. Trigger out and Wake-on-LAN help it fit into a larger system.

The DMP-A6 Gen 2 is a strong fit when you want a streamer with its own capable DAC, connected to an integrated amplifier or active speakers. Use the XLR outputs if your amp has balanced inputs, and connect the included trigger cable so your amplifier powers on and off with the streamer. If the A6 shares a system with your TV, the HDMI ARC input routes TV sound through the same DAC. Note that this is a line-level source; it doesn't have a headphone output.
