AudioQuest PowerQuest 505 High-Performance Power Conditioner
Overview
Amplifiers and source components ask different things of a power supply: amps need current on demand, while sources benefit most from clean, filtered power. The AudioQuest PowerQuest 505 is a 2RU rack-mountable power conditioner with 12 AC outlets: 4 High-Current outlets for amplifiers, receivers, soundbars, and subwoofers, and 8 Ultra-Linear Filtered outlets for source components, computers, modems, and routers.
AudioQuest says its advanced power filtration removes significantly more noise and distortion than typical power conditioners. Non-sacrificial surge protection withstands multiple 6000V or 3000A strikes, the maximum that can survive a building's AC electrical panel, without damage, and Extreme-Voltage Shutdown disengages AC power in under 0.25 seconds at 140VAC.
It comes with a detachable 2m PQ-715 power cable made with AudioQuest's Semi-Solid Long-Grain Copper and direction-controlled conductors, a flat-to-wall plug for tight spaces, and 2RU rack ears for simple rack mounting.
