What is included with the Audeze LCD-XC?

This listing includes the closed-back planar magnetic LCD-XC headphones, a braided 4-pin XLR combo cable with a single-ended 1/4" adapter, and a standard LCD travel case.

What are the advantages of the closed-back design of the LCD-XC?

The closed-back design of the LCD-XC provides improved isolation by blocking external noise, making them ideal for use in noisy environments, on the go, or in the studio for private listening. The closed-back also delivers a more focused sound with deeper bass response compared to open-back designs.

Can the LCD-XC be used for mixing and mastering?

Yes, the LCD-XC is an excellent choice for critical listening tasks like mixing and mastering, thanks to its accurate planar magnetic drivers and closed-back design. While it provides isolation, it still offers transparent and detailed sound, ensuring precise judgment of audio mixes in studio settings.

Does the LCD-XC require an amplifier or DAC for optimal sound?

To get the best out of the LCD-XC, it is highly recommended to use a dedicated headphone amplifier or DAC. This ensures that the planar magnetic drivers are driven effectively, revealing the full depth, clarity, and detail that the headphones are designed to produce.
