Klipsch Flexus Core 300 5.1.2 channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar

Overview

Even a great soundbar can sound off in the wrong room — bass that booms in one corner, dialogue that gets swallowed near a hard wall. The Klipsch Flexus Core 300 solves that at the source with the first built-in room correction system ever put in a soundbar.

The Flexus Core 300 is a 5.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos flagship, built with Onkyo and packing four 2.25" front-firing paper cone drivers, a .75" horn-loaded center tweeter, two 2.25" up-firing Dolby Atmos drivers, two 2.25" side-firing surround drivers, and two pairs of 4" built-in subwoofers for best-in-class bass with no separate sub required. Built-in Dirac Live room correction scans your space and applies correction algorithms based on room size, shape, furniture, and speaker placement for accurate sound tuned to your actual room.

Unlike the Bluetooth-only Core 100 and Core 200, the Core 300 adds built-in Wi-Fi streaming with AirPlay, Google Cast, TIDAL Connect, QPlay, and Spotify Connect, so you can play music directly from your platform of choice without pairing a phone each time. The Klipsch Connect Plus app rounds it out with EQ presets, custom EQ, Night Mode, and Dialogue Boost, and Klipsch Transport technology keeps the door open to add wireless Flexus Surrounds and a Flexus Subwoofer later.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

For Central Ontario clients in rooms with hard floors, open-concept layouts, or asymmetric furniture placement — all common in newer builds — the Core 300's built-in Dirac Live correction is the real differentiator over the Core 100 and Core 200, since it actively compensates for the room rather than relying on a fixed tuning. It's also the only Flexus bar with native Wi-Fi streaming, so it's worth the step up for anyone who wants Spotify Connect or AirPlay without touching Bluetooth.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

  • The Room Correction Seeker: has a tricky room — hard floors, open concept, odd furniture layout — and wants sound tuned specifically to it.
  • The Streaming-First Listener: wants AirPlay, Spotify Connect, or TIDAL Connect built in, without relying on Bluetooth.
  • The Flagship Buyer: wants the top of the Flexus lineup with the most complete channel layout out of the box.

How It Compares

The Core 300 is the flagship of Klipsch's Flexus Sound System, sitting above the Core 200 and Core 100. All three share the Onkyo partnership and Klipsch Transport wireless expansion, but the Core 300 is the only model with built-in Dirac Live room correction and native Wi-Fi streaming (AirPlay, Google Cast, TIDAL Connect, QPlay, Spotify Connect) — the Core 100 and Core 200 are Bluetooth-only. The Core 300 also steps up to a 5.1.2-channel layout with dedicated side-firing surround drivers, compared to the Core 200's 3.1.2 channels and the Core 100's 2.1 channels. For the most complete out-of-the-box system, the Core 300 is the strongest choice; for a smaller room or tighter budget, the Core 100 or Core 200 covers the essentials.

Klipsch Flexus Core 300 5.1.2 channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar FAQs

Can I add rear speakers for real surround sound?

Yes. It’s designed to expand with Klipsch Flexus Surround speakers, so you can go from a soundbar-only setup to a full surround system without replacing the bar.

Will it work with my TV’s HDMI eARC/ARC port?

Yes. If your TV has HDMI eARC (or ARC), connect the soundbar to that port and enable eARC/CEC in your TV audio settings. This is the most common setup customers use.

Does it support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X?

Yes. Customers commonly ask this because many soundbars do only Atmos (or only virtual height). The Core 300 supports both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X playback.

Does the Flexus Core 300 come with a subwoofer?

No. The Core 300 soundbar is sold on its own. You can add a Klipsch Flexus wireless sub later (and in many setups, people run it for a while without one because the bar has built-in woofers).
