Will smooth out usb audio. Dont expect pure magic though.

Unfortunately in my case I did not have "moderate" GPU noise. My RTX 4070ti polutes the 5V rail for USB insanely. I couldn't NOT review this product however. It cut down the worst squealing and chopping sounds I have ever heard to a bare minimum. It's very obvious my scenario is pushing this thing to it's absolute limit and it's putting up a damn good fight. My recommendation for intense GPU noise would be the iFi Audio Defender+ but don't count this thing out. It dropped noise nearly ten fold in the wrong application. I can only image what it does in the correct application.

This isn’t galvanic isolation so it won’t block all noise but it will increase bass quantity by about 10 - 15% depending on setup and headphone type.Mids and treble are cleaner because of less HF noise getting through the digital power so if you have silver cables in your system this will especially make it sound smoother because 4 - 6khz is elevated when treble is introduced due to the material properties.

If you use PC you must have a device like this. Cleans up the audio signal immediately.

iFi Audio iSilencer Plus USB C to C Electrical Noise Conditioner FAQs

How does the iFi Audio iSilencer Plus USB C to C Electrical Noise Conditioner improve audio quality?

The iFi Audio iSilencer Plus employs Active Noise Cancellation II technology to reduce electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference (EMI/RFI) in USB audio signals. By connecting it between your computer and Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC), it minimizes electrical noise at the source, resulting in clearer and more transparent sound.

Is the iFi Audio iSilencer Plus compatible with all USB-C devices?

The iSilencer Plus is designed to work with a wide range of USB-C audio devices, including DACs, audio interfaces, and USB microphones. Its plug-and-play design ensures easy integration without the need for additional drivers or software. However, it is not recommended for use with USB power delivery applications.

Does the iFi Audio iSilencer Plus require an external power source?

No, the iSilencer Plus is bus-powered, drawing the necessary power directly from the USB connection. This design eliminates the need for an external power supply, simplifying its use in various audio setups.

Can multiple iSilencer Plus units be used simultaneously for better noise reduction?

Yes, using multiple iSilencer Plus units can further reduce radiated EMI. Plugging additional units into unused USB ports allows each Active Noise Cancellation circuit to work in tandem, effectively doubling the noise reduction capability with each added unit.
