Kanto SP26PL 26" Bookshelf Speaker Stands | Pair

Overview

Bookshelf speakers sound their best at ear level, pointed right at you — not sitting on a shelf a few feet too low or facing off to one side. The Kanto SP26PL puts them exactly where they need to be.

The SP26PL is a 26-inch steel floor stand with a rotating top plate that lets you angle each speaker toward your listening position instead of settling for whatever direction a shelf happens to face. Two top plate sizes are included, so smaller and larger bookshelf speakers can both be mounted securely using the included ¼"-20 screw.

A hollow support column routes power and speaker cable out of sight instead of leaving them dangling down the outside of the stand, and interchangeable spiked or rubber dome feet keep the base planted on carpet or hardwood.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

The SP26PL is built to the exact mounting pattern Kanto uses on its YU4 and YU6 powered speakers, so if you're running either of those at floor height, these stands are the straightforward way to get them up to proper listening height without any adapter or workaround.

Why the Kanto SP26PL Stands Out

Heavy-Duty Steel Construction

A steel column and base keep the stand rigid and stable, reducing the vibration that can blur bass and mids when speakers sit directly on a shelf.

Rotating Top Plate

The top plate rotates so each speaker can be aimed precisely at the listening position, even if the stand itself can't sit exactly on-axis.

Two Top Plate Sizes Included

A 4-inch and a 7-inch top plate are both included, covering a wider range of bookshelf speaker base sizes without a separate purchase.

Interchangeable Feet

Spiked feet bite into carpet while rubber dome feet protect hardwood and tile, and both are included so the stand suits whatever floor it's going on.

Concealed Cable Routing

A hollow support column lets power and speaker cable run up through the stand instead of hanging down the outside.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

  • The YU4 or YU6 Owner: matches Kanto's own mounting pattern for a secure, purpose-built fit.
  • The Room Where Shelf Placement Isn't Ideal: gets bookshelf speakers to proper ear-level height and aim regardless of existing furniture.
  • The Cable-Conscious Setup: the hollow column keeps wiring out of view for a cleaner-looking system.

How It Compares

The only difference between the SP26PL and its sibling, the SP32PL, is height — 26 inches versus 32. The right choice comes down to seating height and speaker placement: the SP26PL suits lower seating or speakers already close to ear level, while the taller SP32PL is the better fit when speakers need to clear a taller piece of furniture or a lower listening position.
