The Pro-Ject Debut EVO 2 would be an excellent addition to any audiophile’s entertainment system. The wood finish is solid, heavy, and extremely well made. The setup process was a breeze, especially if you have speakers with a built in phono pre-amp. The sound quality produced by the updated Ortofon/pro-ject cartridge is definitely a step up from the debut carbon evo. My one minor word of warning is that the anti-skate weight sometimes comes off of the tone arm if you accidentally touch it while changing records. This can definitely be fixed if you have more precise fingers than I do, by making a smaller and tighter loop that attaches to the tone arm, but for me it isn’t that big of an issue. Other than that, if you’re a fan of Pro-ject, or are just looking for a superb turntable, this is the one for you. You won’t be disappointed. I was torn between the new wine red or wood option, so that was the hardest part in deciding for me. I wound up going with the walnut option, but are stunning. Everyone that I have shown it to has now said they wanted to purchase one. Overall, excellent style, excellent sound, excellent turntable.
This is my second turntable ever. Had a cheaper set up and the upgrade is exhaustibly better. Better sound quality, better speed control, less distortion. Absolute recommend if you could save up for it. Also comes in different colors to go with what ever look you are going for

Very happy with this turntable! It exceeded all expectations. I was debating between this Evo 2 and the more expensive Debut Pro, but this new Evo 2 has all of the functionality of the Pro without the price tag! If you're in the market for a turntable that will last you decades to come, you won't be disappointed! The other great thing is when the time comes to replace the cartridge, all you need to buy is an Ortofon 2m Blue stylus and you're set!
