The Sony HT-A7000 is a 7.1.2-channel soundbar built for a wider surround field than Sony's smaller A-series bars. Two up-firing drivers bounce sound off your ceiling for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X height effects, while two beam tweeters send sound bouncing off your side walls — combined with five front speakers for a noticeably wider front soundstage than a 3- or 5-speaker bar.

A built-in dual subwoofer inside the bar handles bass on its own, so there's no separate subwoofer box to place or wire in from day one. When you're ready to add more, Sony's SA-RS3S or SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers and SA-SW3 or SA-SW5 wireless subwoofers connect to the same system and expand it into full 360 Spatial Sound Mapping.

Two HDMI inputs plus an HDMI eARC output pass through 4K at up to 120Hz and 8K video, along with HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision, so a games console and a 4K streaming box can both run through the soundbar to your TV at the same time.
