Klipsch The Sixes Powered Bookshelf Speakers - Open Box

Overview

This pair of The Sixes is an open-box unit, inspected and confirmed fully functional, available at a reduced price versus new. Setting up real stereo sound usually means a receiver, an amplifier, and a tangle of cables, and Klipsch's The Sixes are built to skip all of that.

The Sixes are powered bookshelf speakers from Klipsch's Heritage Wireless series, with a custom-engineered amplifier built directly into the system — 100W x 2 continuous, 200W x 2 short-term peak. Each speaker houses a 1" titanium tweeter on a Tractrix horn and a 6.5" long-throw woofer in a ported enclosure, delivering lively detail and real mid-bass punch without a separate amp.

A built-in phono preamp connects a turntable directly, and the input panel adds optical for a TV, USB for a computer, RCA analog, a 3.5mm aux jack, and Bluetooth for wireless streaming. A subwoofer output is included for anyone who wants to add deeper bass later.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

For Central Ontario clients who want a genuine hi-fi setup without a separate receiver taking up shelf space, The Sixes' built-in phono preamp is the detail that makes them a favourite for vinyl listeners — plug a turntable straight in with no external phono stage needed.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

  • The All-in-One Stereo Buyer: wants real hi-fi sound without a separate receiver.
  • The Vinyl Listener: wants to connect a turntable directly without an external phono stage.
  • The Value-Conscious Buyer: gets Klipsch's powered speaker system in open-box condition at a reduced price.

How It Compares

The Sixes are the original model in Klipsch's Heritage Wireless powered speaker lineup, combining built-in amplification with a phono preamp and multiple digital and analog inputs in one system. For clients who already have a receiver or amplifier and just need passive bookshelf speakers, Klipsch's Reference or Reference Premiere lines are the better fit; for a true all-in-one system, The Sixes remain Klipsch's benchmark.
