FiiO M27 Flagship Digital Audio Player
Overview
The FiiO M27 is FiiO's flagship Android digital audio player, with two ESS ES9039SPRO DACs, a Qualcomm QCS6490-based processor and a 5.99-inch 1080 x 2160 screen, rated at up to 5000mW per channel balanced. It's for serious listeners who want a portable that can also anchor a desk system, driving demanding full-size headphones, streaming over Wi-Fi and feeding other gear through digital outputs.
The M27 has 3.5mm and 6.35mm single-ended outputs and a 4.4mm balanced output, all of which also work as line outs, plus optical and coaxial digital outputs and a coaxial input. Its top ultra high gain mode, available when a fast charger is connected, reaches 5000mW per channel balanced and 1800mW single-ended into 32 ohms; super high gain on battery gives 2250mW balanced. FiiO's patented desktop mode bypasses the battery when you run it from external power, and the included DK1 PLUS stand adds a cooling fan for use while charging.
Inside are an XMOS XU316 USB receiver, a Qualcomm QCC5181 Bluetooth chip and two FCXO-05E oscillators, with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage (about 241GB usable) and two microSD slots for up to 4TB more. It plays up to 768kHz/32-bit and native DSD512, decodes MQA, and adds a 31-band PEQ with AUTO EQ and second-harmonic adjustment. Bluetooth 5.4 receives aptX Lossless and LDAC, and Bluetooth 5.2 transmits LDAC and LHDC. The 9200mAh battery can be removed and swapped, and charges at up to 35W. It comes in a black aluminum alloy or a titanium alloy body.

To reach the M27's full 5000mW balanced output, you need a fast charger connected, since FiiO only enables ultra high gain mode on external power. For desk use, switch on desktop mode and stand it in the included DK1 PLUS fan stand so the battery is bypassed and the player stays cool. The battery is removable, but FiiO doesn't sell packs separately, so contact the distributor if one ever needs replacing.
