Overview
The RX-A4A sits one step above the RX-A2A in Yamaha's AVENTAGE line, adding Surround:AI processing and more advanced room calibration for a system that adapts to what you're watching in real time.
The RX-A4A is a 7.2-channel AV receiver rated at 110W per channel (8 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, two channels driven), with Surround:AI analyzing the soundtrack scene by scene to automatically adjust Cinema DSP HD3 processing. It decodes Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, and adds a High-Resolution Music Enhancer alongside the Compressed Music Enhancer found across the AVENTAGE line.
Video runs through 7 HDMI inputs and 3 outputs, supporting 4K120, 8K60, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, ALLM, and VRR. YPAO Multipoint measurement adds 3D calibration, 64-bit high-precision EQ, and angle measurement on top of R.S.C. room correction, and 7.2-channel preouts give you the flexibility to add an external amplifier down the road. MusicCast, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, and a dedicated phono input round out the connectivity.
