Overview
Some speakers are built to disappear into a room, and the JBL Pulse 5 is built to do the opposite. It pairs 360-degree sound with a synchronized light show, turning it into as much of a visual centrepiece as an audio one.
A woofer, tweeter, and passive radiator combine for a 360-degree soundstage rated at 30W RMS (woofer) plus 10W RMS (tweeter), with a frequency response of 58 Hz to 20 kHz. The customizable LED lightshow wraps fully around the speaker and syncs to the beat of whatever's playing, with colours and patterns adjustable through the JBL Portable app.
An IP67 rating means it's fully waterproof and dustproof, the battery runs up to 12 hours, and PartyBoost lets you pair it with other PartyBoost-compatible JBL speakers to expand the sound for a bigger gathering.
