Overview
Not every desktop needs a full stereo system to sound good — sometimes a compact pair of speakers with the right components does the job better. The Kanto YU2 is built for exactly that.
The YU2 pairs a 3-inch composite driver with a ¾-inch silk dome tweeter, powered by a Class D amplifier rated at 100 watts peak (50 watts RMS total). A built-in USB DAC connects directly to a computer for a clean digital signal, bypassing the computer's onboard sound card, while a 3.5mm AUX input covers a phone, tablet, or any other analog source.
A dedicated subwoofer output makes it easy to add a Kanto sub later for deeper bass without replacing the speakers themselves, and at under 6 inches tall, the pair tucks onto a desk or shelf without taking up much room.
