Overview
The Chord Electronics Poly is a portable music streamer and player that attaches to Mojo 2 or the original Mojo, letting you stream music wirelessly to the DAC from your phone, tablet, computer, or network, or play files stored on its own Micro SD card. Chord calls it the first streamer of its kind in the world, and it lets you hear streamed music through Mojo's DAC at home or on the go.
Poly handles the connection and Mojo handles the audio processing. Your smartphone becomes the controller, using familiar apps, while Poly receives the music over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay, or DLNA and passes it straight to Mojo 2 or Mojo. It's Roon Ready, can reach music on NAS drives through DLNA apps, and Chord lists it as 'Plays with Audirvāna' certified.
The Micro SD slot has unlimited capacity, so a full music library can live on Poly instead of your phone. Playback goes up to 768kHz PCM and DSD64 to DSD256, with support for FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, OGG Vorbis, WMA, MP3, and AAC files. Chord rates the rechargeable LiPo battery at up to nine hours of playback from a four-hour charge, and Poly and Mojo can be charged at the same time.

Poly works best when you think of it as two products in one: a wireless streamer when you're on Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and a standalone music player when you're not, thanks to the Micro SD card. On the road, it can join a phone's mobile hotspot or create its own hotspot where tethering isn't available, and it remembers multiple networks so it reconnects on its own. Setup is done through Chord's GoFigure app for iOS and Android.
