Love these speakers, they're perfect for a small to moderate sized room, have excellent range and produce the human voice excellently. I've owned a few bookshelf speakers and these clearest and most precise, great a low volumes. The brown woofers look nice next to a wood bookshelf.This is a 4 instead of a 5 because of the price. These go for significantly less in Europe so you're giving a lot to the middle man.

While the bass performance, due to the size of the speaker (and the woofer) is good but not spectacular, the mid-high performance is more than excellent and worthy of much more expensive speakers.You will find a very positive review of the Oberon 1 on the specialist British website WhatHifi.

I wasn’t expecting much of a upgrade from the Dali Spektor 2, I was wrong, definitely a step or two up the ladder. I didn’t find any lacking in the bass department. Well pleased with the purchase.

The Dali Oberon 1 is a high fidelity speaker. Dali seems to have designed and built a competent, bass-ported cabinet out of standard materials and and an inexpensive outer finish. The mid/bass driver, tweeter, and crossover seem to be where Dali put the largest part of the development budget. The result is a very good sounding speaker. It seems easy to drive with anything from a modest little desktop integrated amp with as little as 20 watts per channel. I think it's ideal for smalllistening rooms, two-channel stereo or 2.1 TV systems, desktop computer systems, and so on. Clear, accurate, low distortion.
