Overview

The Sony WF-C700N are true wireless earbuds that bring Active Noise Cancellation down to a budget-friendly price point. They pair a compact, lightweight shape with Sony's noise sensor technology, so background noise fades out whether you're on a commute, at the gym, or just want a quieter space to focus.

Adaptive Sound Control automatically adjusts between noise cancelling and ambient sound based on your activity, and Multipoint Connection lets the earbuds stay linked to two Bluetooth devices at once, so calls on your phone and audio from your laptop don't require re-pairing. A quick 10-minute charge adds up to an hour of playback when you're in a rush.

Touch sensor controls on each earbud handle playback, calls, and noise cancelling settings, and the included charging case brings total listening time up to 15 hours. It's a straightforward pair of earbuds built for everyday use rather than critical listening.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

The WF-C700N is a solid entry point if you want real Active Noise Cancellation without paying flagship earbud prices. It won't match the noise cancelling depth or sound refinement of Sony's higher-end WF-1000XM series, but for daily commuting and workouts it covers the basics well.

Why the Sony WF-C700N Stands Out

Active Noise Cancellation

Digital noise cancelling with noise sensor technology reduces background sound, while Ambient Sound Mode lets you stay aware of your surroundings when you need to.

Adaptive Sound Control

The earbuds detect what you're doing, such as walking or running, and automatically adjust between noise cancelling and ambient sound so you don't have to manage the settings manually.

Multipoint Connection

Pair the WF-C700N with two Bluetooth devices at the same time. Incoming calls and audio switch to the right device automatically, without a manual re-pair.

Up to 15 Hours of Battery Life

Each earbud runs up to 7.5 hours with noise cancelling on (10 hours with it off), and the compact charging case adds extra charges for up to 15 hours of total listening.

Quick Charging

A 10-minute charge in the case delivers up to an hour of playback, so a short top-up gets you through a commute or workout.

IPX4 Water Resistance

Rated IPX4 for resistance to sweat and splashes, so workouts and light rain aren't a concern.

DSEE Audio Restoration

Sony's DSEE technology restores high-frequency detail lost when music is compressed for streaming, helping compressed tracks sound fuller.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

• Commuters and gym-goers: looking for compact, lightweight earbuds with real ANC at an accessible price.
• Multi-device users: who want to stay connected to a phone and a laptop at the same time without manual re-pairing.
• Everyday listeners: who want dependable noise cancelling and all-day battery life without paying for flagship features.

How It Compares

Within Sony's own C-series, the Sony WF-C510 is the more affordable option but skips Active Noise Cancellation entirely. The WF-C700N adds ANC, Adaptive Sound Control, and a larger battery, making it the better choice for anyone who wants to actually block out noise rather than just listen to music on the go.
