Overview

The Sony SRS-XE300 is a portable Bluetooth speaker built for clear, balanced sound that can handle life outdoors. Its full-range Line-Shape Diffuser driver is designed to project sound evenly, while Sony's DSEE technology restores detail to compressed audio for a fuller sound.

An IP67 rating means the XE300 is fully dustproof and can handle up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes, so it's ready for the beach, the pool, or a backyard barbecue without a second thought. Up to 24 hours of battery life keeps it going through a long day, charged over USB-C.

Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC support delivers a stable, higher-quality wireless connection, and Party Connect lets you link the XE300 with up to 100 other compatible Sony speakers, or pair two together in Stereo Pair mode for true left/right sound.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

The XE300 strikes a good balance between size, durability, and battery life, making it a strong grab-and-go option for anyone who wants a speaker tough enough for the outdoors without stepping up to a larger, heavier model.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

• Outdoor listeners: who want a durable, waterproof speaker for the beach, pool, or backyard.
• Long-day users: who want a speaker that can run all day without a recharge.
• Multi-speaker households: who want to link multiple Sony speakers together with Party Connect.

How It Compares

Compared to a smaller speaker like the Sony SRS-XB100, the XE300 trades some portability for a bigger driver, longer battery life, and support for Party Connect and Stereo Pair, making it a better fit for group outings rather than solo, pocket-sized listening.
