Overview

The Sony WH-RF400 Wireless Home Theater Headphones deliver clear audio for TV, movies, and music without running a cable across the room. RF wireless transmission connects to the included transmitter/charging dock, giving you freedom to move around the house while you listen.

A 40mm dynamic driver and Sony's Voice mode work together to keep dialogue clear, and a rotary volume control on the earcup lets you adjust levels without reaching for the remote.

Up to 20 hours of battery life on a full charge means you can watch and listen for a full evening, and the transmitter doubles as a charging dock, so the headphones are ready to go whenever you set them down.

Simcoe Audio Video Insight

The WH-RF400 is a simple, effective fix for anyone who wants to hear the TV clearly without turning up the volume for the rest of the household, or without dealing with Bluetooth pairing every time.

Why the Sony WH-RF400 Stands Out

Clear RF Wireless Transmission

RF (radio frequency) wireless transmission connects to the included transmitter, giving you up to 150 feet of range to move freely around your home.

40mm Dynamic Driver

A 40mm dynamic driver with a PET diaphragm and neodymium magnet delivers a 10Hz-22,000Hz frequency response for clear, detailed audio.

Voice Mode for Clearer Dialogue

Voice mode is designed to bring out dialogue in movies and TV shows, so you can follow the conversation even at lower volumes.

Up to 20 Hours of Battery Life

A full charge of approximately 7 hours delivers up to 20 hours of listening, so you're not constantly running back to the dock.

Transmitter/Charging Dock

The included dock transmits audio from your TV and charges the headphones whenever they're resting on it, so you don't need a separate charging cable.

Rotary Volume Control

A rotary volume control built into the earcup lets you adjust your own listening level independently of the TV's volume.

Adjustable, Cushioned Over-Ear Fit

An adjustable headband and padded over-ear cushions are designed to stay comfortable through longer viewing sessions.

Buyer's Guide

Who It's For

• TV watchers: who want to hear dialogue clearly without turning up the volume for everyone else in the room.
• Households with different hearing needs: who want one person to listen at their own volume without disturbing others.
• Anyone who wants simple wireless TV audio: without dealing with Bluetooth pairing each time.

How It Compares

Unlike Bluetooth headphones, which need to be paired to a source device, the WH-RF400 uses RF transmission from its dedicated dock, so it connects automatically and works with any TV that has an audio output, whether or not the TV itself supports Bluetooth.
