Pro-Ject Audio Cork & Rubber IT Mat
Overview
The Pro-Ject Cork & Rubber IT Mat blends two materials to solve a problem neither handles well alone: rubber offers strong acoustic isolation but can trap static, while cork resists static but has weaker damping on its own. Combining them gives you cork's anti-static grip alongside rubber's vibration control.
At 1mm thick, this version is a near drop-in replacement for a stock felt mat, so it won't meaningfully shift your tonearm's height alignment.
It's built to Pro-Ject's standard 300mm platter diameter, so fitment is straightforward on Pro-Ject turntables and most standard decks.
Simcoe Audio Video Insight
We recommend this 1mm version for turntables with dense or heavier platters, where thinner isolation is enough. If your deck has a lighter metal platter, Pro-Ject's own 3mm Cork & Rubber IT gives more acoustic control.

Why the Cork & Rubber IT Stands Out
Cork-and-Rubber Blend
Combines cork's anti-static properties with rubber's stronger vibration damping.
Low-Profile 1mm Thickness
A near drop-in fit without shifting tonearm height alignment.
Precise 300mm Diameter
Matches standard turntable platter sizing.
Reduces Static and Noise
Helps keep records cleaner and playback quieter than a standard felt or thick rubber mat.
Also Available in 3mm
Pro-Ject offers a thicker version suited to lighter metal platters.
Buyer's Guide
Who It's For
- Owners of Dense or Heavy Platters: the 1mm thickness provides isolation without over-damping.
- Listeners Bothered by Static or Surface Noise: the cork-rubber blend addresses both.
- Anyone Upgrading from a Stock Felt Mat: a near drop-in fit with minimal tonearm adjustment.
How It Compares
Pro-Ject's Cork-It mat uses cork alone and favours anti-static performance, while the thicker 3mm Cork & Rubber IT leans further into acoustic isolation for lighter metal platters. This 1mm Cork & Rubber IT sits between the two, blending both materials for balanced damping and static control on dense or heavier platters.
