The Pro-Ject Optical Box E Phono solves a common problem: turntables output an analog phono signal, but most modern home cinema receivers, soundbars, and all-in-one systems only accept digital inputs. This compact box amplifies your MM cartridge's signal and converts it to 24-bit/96kHz digital audio, all while keeping a standard analog output live at the same time.
Because the analog line output and digital optical (Toslink) output run simultaneously, the Optical Box E Phono doubles as a 1-into-2 signal splitter, sending the same source to two systems at once. A second 3.5mm line input also lets it double as an input expander for a system that's run out of inputs, or digitize a line-level source like a tape deck or tuner.
Inside, internal metal shielding and gold-plated RCA inputs keep the signal quiet and free of RF interference, and the whole unit is compact enough to tuck behind any component rack in black or white.
